Aluminium facts

Aluminium is very easy to install and is incredibly light in comparison to other metal sheets. It is malleable, non – combustible, non – flammable, highly resistant to denting and can also be coated to provide a range of different finishes.

Aluminium has the highest strength to weight ratio of any metal and is rust / corrosion resistant. It is also environmentally friendly and can consist of up to 90% recycled material.

Aluminium reflects the sun helping to maintain a cool temperature inside the house in the summer and helping to keep the heat inside the house during the winter. This can help to reduce heating costs by saving energy.

Aluminium as an alternative

It comes in zinc and copper effect and looks almost identical to these materials. For this reason it is a very good alternative to zinc or copper when budgets are tight. Once installed it has a very long service life and is corrosion – resistant.
